So I had a strange day. Actually it's been a strange week. I won't go into all the details, but suffice it to say, yesterday was a little harder than most days. Unfortunately, I learned, stress messes with your blood sugar levels. I was pretty erratic yesterday, and I don't like that. When sugar levels are out of whack, so is your mood. It's a little like watching the pendulum on a wall clock. Thankfully, not every day is like yesterday. Anyway- here is the meal log. :)

I started out great with my Attain shake. |

Lunch was a turkey and cheese sandwich with a glass of almond milk |

Dinner was a burrito, made at home. Just refried beans, a little meat and cheese and some taco sauce and sour cream. Now the tortilla was larger than I normally use and beans, while full of protein, can add carbs. So this may have been the reason for my elevated levels, but I really only had one. This is what I had, and I had water, not milk or anything else. So when my number came in at 136, I was a little shocked. Stress is probably very much to blame. |

The biggest problem is that I was hungry, and needed to take my vitamins. I can't take those on an empty stomach. So I opted for 1/2 banana and peanut butter. Banana was a dangerous choice, because it is a very sweet fruit, but it was easy, and like I said, I was hungry. I was only at 87 when I woke up this morning, so I guess it was okay. :) |
